What happens when you pay

  1. With a card, the service is set up automatically once the payment is confirmed. With a bank transfer, once we receive it.
  2. If the domain is new, we register it once the payment is confirmed and its zone already has the email records. If it stays where it is, you change the MX record and the SPF there.
  3. You receive a welcome email with the server, the ports and the webmail address.
  4. You create the mailboxes from the client area with the panel access button, and they are ready on your phone, your computer and webmail.

If your domain is with another provider

  • Your domain and website stay where they are.
  • Wherever your DNS is, you change the MX record and add our server to the SPF.
  • The exact values are in the welcome email. Open a ticket and we will check them with you.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a domain I already have?

Yes. If the domain stays with your current provider, you change the MX record and the SPF there and your website is not affected; the welcome email has the exact values. If the domain is with us, the zone is created automatically with the email records.

Will it work with Outlook, my phone or the app I use?

Yes. It is standard email with encrypted IMAP, POP3 and SMTP: you enter the server mail.hostingandorra.com, the full address as the username and the mailbox password. The ports are in the table on this page and in the welcome email.

Where is my email stored?

In a data centre in Andorra, with an Andorran IP address. Andorra has an EU adequacy decision (2010/625/EU), which recognises its level of data protection.

How much can each mailbox hold?

Up to 2 GB, on every plan. Email you keep only on your computer, in a local folder, does not count.

Can I change plan later?

Yes. Open a ticket from the client area and we will change your plan.

Can you help me move my email from another provider?

Write to us before you order and we will look at it together: how many mailboxes you have, where the domain is and when to switch the MX record.

Do prices include IGI?

No. Prices exclude IGI. Customers in Andorra pay 4.5% IGI on top; customers outside Andorra do not.

Does it include a website?

No: it is email only, so you do not pay for web space you will not use. If you want a website and email together, see the web hosting plans.
